I feel like there is a very fine line when you're trying out different styles between being a poser and being genuine. Whenever I add a little country flair to my outfits I feel like I'm a poser. I feel like all the real country folks are going to look right at me and tell me I'm just a little city girl and I need to stop stealing their look.

But, I absolutely adore country fashion. I love the boots, the lace, the denim. I'd even be willing to rock a cowboy hat under the right circumstances (i.e. a concert or rodeo, I don't think I could pull it off just walking down the street).

I think you cross the line from poser to genuine when you appreciate the culture of the style. I live in a small rural town with lots of farmers. I listen to country music all. the time. And I married a country boy, who only embraced that aspect after we were married, but still he hunts a lot. I feel like I appreciate the culture enough to be able to rock a pair of cowboy boots whenever I want.

But, I'll be honest, I am a city girl. Please don't ask me to milk a cow or feed the chickens because I wouldn't know the first thing about it.

Fashion is such a personal thing, that nowadays I think you can get away with whatever you want. Country, boho chic, sexy alternative, changing up my own look is so much fun. I love this country look on you and I can't imagine anyone calling you a poser! Love the boots!!!

Thanks Bre! I love mixing it up too! I feel like when I go too much outside of my comfort zone I'm feeling "costumey" instead of like me, but I love trying out different looks too! Thanks for stopping by!!

I love this dress. If you like it, go for it. Who cares what others think. By the way, the wood pile is an awesome backdrop!
