The Creative Closet: Mint to be link-up

I'm so excited to be co-hosting the Creative Closet link-up with Jana and Meagen. They are both amazing ladies, I'm totally obsessed with their blogs and I'm just thrilled to be able to team up with them this week!

For my birthday, back in May, my husband got me some cute cowgirl boots that, unfortunately, didn't fit. So I reluctantly returned them and started looking for a replacement shoe. But, I'm a terrible impulse shopper, heck I'm probably just a terrible shopper in general! When I start thinking about a purchase I pour over the decision for weeks. These shoes were no exception. It took me a month to decide to get these, but I'm incredibly happy with this purchase. I love that they are subtle, and yet they can add a perfect splash of color to an otherwise neutral outfit. Plus they're perfect for chasing my little boy all over the place!

How stinking cute does Jana look? I feel like I she should be sitting at the counter of a soda shop sipping a coke! And I love Meagen's relaxed look! It's lakeside chic. I love that they incorporated bolder mint pieces into their looks!

Don't forget to keep linking up with Jana and Meagan for the rest of the month with these prompts!

What a cute, fun look--I love that you have mint shoes! They look so cute and comfy too (definitely a must for this mama!). I love the color combination of mint and bright coral and how both colors really pop against the neutrals.
Oh also--your hair is gorgeous!!

Thanks Shea! I love how comfy these shoes are, and how easy they are to slip when you're chasing kids around!

Thanks Jessica! I think shoes or accessories are a great way to easer your way into new trends! I love mint though! It works for just about every season, making anything mint a great closet staple!

I think one of my favorite parts about this outfit is that you worked in another pop of color with your belt instead of just the mint shoes. You look great! Thanks for co-hosting with us this week! :)

That pop of neon in your belt is just awesome! I wouldn't have thought of that! Also, your hair is just... I have no words! Gorgeous! :)

Love this linkup! And I just coincidentally had posted an outfit with a mint shirt without even knowing about it! I love the pop of color in your belt as well, it really sets off the mint of the shoes!

I love the shoes! Also, your hair is gorgeous :-) this is a great link up, I keep trying to remind myself to go back and link up and then I forget. Hopefully pinning this will help!

I love it when that happens! It's a happy coincidence :) Thanks Liz!

Hahah thanks Meagan! I feel the same way about your hair! I love your big curls!

Thanks Chelsie! It's a nice to have a prompt for fashion posts sometimes! It give you more direction as opposed to just writing a random post with some outfit photos! (Which is how I feel 98% of the time with my outfit posts!)

Your hair is really pretty :) I always wish I could get mine to curl like that! I love the mint shoes. That's a very similar color to what we painted our nursery!

I'm obsessed with your mint shoes - I've been wanting a pair for so long but could never decided on a style! The little pop of neon is amazing with this whole outfit. P.S. Your hair is stunning!!

Thank you! I totally recommend these Vans! I love that they are quick to slip on as you head out the door but still help you feel pulled together and cute!

Aww thank you! I use a clipless curling wand and I love it! I bet mint would look adorable in a nursery!
