Hot Pink

Shirt: F21, Vest: Marshalls, Pants: JC Penny, Shoes: 1318

These are my new infamous hot pink flats. I love them. I also like to call them my "I'm never getting hit in a crosswalk" shoes. They are so bright it's crazy fun to wear them. Whenever I think my outfit is going to be boring I just ad these shoes and all of a sudden it's fun to wear.

I'm excited for next week because it's a week-long Open to Interpretaion link-up with KaylaErica and Grace. I love OTI. It really helps me use what I have to create looks that I wish I could pull off. Check out their blogs and join in if you feel so inclined.

But, it's Friday, which means I have an eye appointment, grocery shopping and some Chick-fil-a eating to do. I'll see ya'll on Monday!

Open to Interpretation

Sweater: JC Penny, Shirt: F21, Skirt: made by my mom, Tights: Ballet class '07
Boots: Macy's, Necklace gift from my Grandma

When I saw this outfit I knew I could do a complete copy cat,
but I thought I'd do the interpretation instead.
I wore this sweater that I love, but haven't found too many ways to remix it.
I also tried to not wear a skirt, but it looked silly.
So my old pink ballet tights came in handy!

Fashion Challenge Confession

Jacket: F21, Shirt: JC Penny, Scarf: Le Mode, Pants: AE, Boots: Macy's

Today's challenge was dress up a coat.
I have a secret...
I hate coats.
I always feel puffy and bloated and like the kid in a Christmas Story.
I had a really hard time with this day of the challenge.
Instead of dressing a coat up, I just wore a cute one.
That's not exactly cheating right?

Pop that color

Vest: F21, Shirt: DownEast Outfitters, Pants:AEs, Boots: Macy's

I love color, and the challenge today called for adding color to
what can be boring winter outfits.
This wasn't too hard for me, since I believe an all black outfit needs
a pair of turquoise high heels, or something colorful!
I ended up being kind of lazy, and threw on this vest
{which I don't wear too often, it is  a challenge after all...}
and let me tell you.
I. love. this. vest.
Did you see the back? It's the best part.
It's unique, and for some reason I like the fact that you can stick
your arm through my vest
{yeah...that is super weird once I say it out loud...}

If I had the opportunity to be born in another era
I would totally pick the 60's.
They had the best dresses!
I love Chuck's interpretation in Pushing Daises,
so I was so excited when today's prompt was decades.
I wanted to do this for channel someone, but I didn't think of it in time.
I searched my closet for something to wear and I found this dress hiding.
I forgot that I even had it.
Go challenges for making me rediscover an old dress.

Channel Someone

Shirt: F21, Pants: JC Penny, Boots: Macy's, Bag: LeMode, Watch: Target

Source: Kendi Everyday

Today's fashion challenge was to channel someone.
At first I couldn't think of anyone!
Then I remembered my favorite fashion blogger, Kendi.
And this outfit that she did a month or two ago.
When I first saw it I pinned it right away
saying it was the perfect outfit.
So, I decided to {attempt} to recreate it.
I don't think I did too bad,
I had to wear pants, because 1. I don't have a cute skirt like that
and 2. It was really cold out!

Monochrome and a trend or two

Cardi: F21, Shirt: AE, Belt: stolen from another dress, Skirt: Dress Barn, Tights: Fred Meyer, Boots: Nordstrom Rack
Neckalces: gifts

I've been trying to do Kayla's Winter 10 day challenge.
I may have been somewhat failing.
But to try and get caught up I did two of the prompts in one day.
yesterday was monochrome {see all the black and grey? that's how savvy I get}
Today is follow a trend.
I tried two trends!
A top bun, and multiple necklaces.
{I don't think I've figured out the whole combining necklaces thing figured out}
If you have advise, I'd love it!
